The third grade GATE teacher seemed miserable and uncomfortable in her position. It felt like she took it out on the children. She seemed to set them up for failure by setting high expectations, without explanations. My child did well academically; however, I am concerned about the psychological effects. When I inquired about specific concerns, the principal blindly supported the teacher without investigation. There needs to be some checks and balance at this school for the children's welfare. 2012
